Marilyn Boror Bor

She centers on the word as a cultural code that defines and builds identities. Using the Mayan language Kaqchiquel, her works seek to rescue an imaginary, a history and a worldview that has been powerfully denied to her, and can be read as the testimony of a history of dispossessions that Mesoamerican Indians have endured and whose consequences are apparent even today.
