Detánico & Lain

Detánico & Lain

Angela Detánico and Rafael Lain are a Brazilian couple (living in Paris) who have been collaborating since 1996. Their conceptual works use sound, graphics, text, video, and other media in their installations. They combine the discipline of Detánico’s semiotics with Lain’s graphic design, using formalism to create visual poetry. With scientific, mathematical and literary references, their work focuses on the abstraction of time and space, including topics such as memory.
